Opportunities:
Because we are a relatively small operation, we can offer our
staff a unique
opportunity to experience many aspects of the hospitality
industry, for we specialize in unique, intimate weddings, workshops focused on
supporting
growth for individuals and groups, and, of course, in leisure travel.
We offer kayak and hiking trips, and grounds that lend
themselves to quiet contemplation. We also
offer regular team building and educational opportunities for our
staff, as maintaining
the well-being of our people and helping them to grow in the direction
they wish is a vital part of our working
philosophy.
Available
Positions, Full and
Part Time:
We currently have a
variety of
positions available for our
upcoming season beginning in April.
And here is an interesting twist: often,
depending on the interest and skills of an applicant, an
employee
might work in a
combination of positions:
i.e. we can “fit” a new position to the applicant, who thus gains
broader, more personalized
experience of the business…or should we say “the art” of hospitality.
So, in light of what you have read so far, you
may wish to consider the following:
Hospitality
Position:
This is a customer
service position
and for the right person
can be great fun. Previous experience in hospitality or customer
service is an
asset, as will competency in computer applications, a willingness to
work as a
team member, and a comfort and ability to multi task. This position will require
flexibility in
scheduling as some evening and weekend work will be required.
Hospitality
Support Position:
This
position involves helping with
set up for events (e.g.
weddings), general grounds maintenance, possible
gardening work and green enhancement, and
working
with the rest of the team to provide services to our guests. This
position
requires a certain amount of physical strength, ability to work with
others and,
of course, an interest in customer service. Knowledge of the tourism
industry
and an interest in gardening would be an asset. (photo courtesy Lance

Administrative
Support Position:
This position centers around organizing and
coordinating office and
front desk operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational
effectiveness and efficiency, through tasks such as design and
maintenance of
filing systems, maintaining office efficiency, and monitoring and
replenishing
inventory. This
position also involves
scheduling staff in cooperation with the lead of each of the
hospitality teams,
as well as helping to enhance customer service wherever possible. The
successful applicant will also be a liaison between our guests and
staff with
respect to set up and staffing for groups, weddings and other special
events.
A high degree of
organizational
ability is a necessity, as
are good written and verbal communication skills, and competency with
computer
programs. Also, willingness and aptitude to work in a team environment
are
essential.
Housekeeping
Positions:
This position requires working with
our housekeeping team to
provide services to our guests. Experience
with cleaning in an efficient manner is
required. This
position requires someone
who is
organized, enjoys customer service and likes working as part of a team.

Culinary
positions:
A variety of
positions are
available: sous-chef, dishwashers, servers, etc. Experience in this
field is an
asset. Check with
