Our Gardens

Our Gardens. What can we say?
Only that they can be intoxicatingly lovely, not as a function of our efforts necessarily, but as an expression of the miracles of the unfolding natural world.
The perennials are always favourites, arriving as they do, unbidden by any effort or ours. They bid us stop and linger a while. Rest easy. Life is unfolding as it should. And if Mother Earth can send a messenger like the iris above, surely she is worthy of our reverence and protection.

And the annuals too have their story to tell: bright little splashes of color that blaze accents across the summer greens.
A favourite around here is the tiny nasturtium, hero of our main front garden. This particular bed has been father and mother to beds around the world, as our guests, impressed by their glory, frequently ask for seeds, which we provide with pleasure.
