Dining in or Out at Oceanstone

So maybe you are a good cook and like to prepare your own meals.
Done. There are cooking facilities in our cottages, barbecues included. Help yourself to the herb or vegetable gardens in season (pictured at the right) if you wish.

Regretfully, our dining facility, Oceanstone Cafe is closed until further notice, but we do provide a full dining service for that special occasion (like a wedding), or for a group or workshop, in which case we can cater to all your desires from breakfast, through breaks, lunch and dinner, with a broad and delicious menu to choose from. Whatever the case, we are committed to using only the freshest of ingredients, whether they be greens from our gardens, or the fresh seafood that comes from the ocean on our doorstep. And we hire only wait staff who derive personal satisfaction from the noble experience of serving others. This fact is refelcted in the carefree, cheery ambience in our dining facility, an wave of which washes over our guests and one that they themselves can easily help to create.
 
Other Alternatives:

There are, should you wish to visit them, other restaurants in the area, all within minutes of driving time.
Closest is Harbourview Restaurant, serving a variety of home cooked meals, desserts etc. The apple pie is to die for.
Also, there is the Finer Diner, a slightly eclectic, laid back place, again with a basic menu of standard fare, and a charming view of a small, local harbour.
The main tourist attraction is the Sou'Wester Restaurant in Peggy's Cove, close to the Peggy's Cove lighthouse. Food here again is basic.
