The Peggy's Cove Light, that is, (just around the corner): the glorious hiking in the Peggy's Cove Preservation Area (walking distance from our place), Halifax, Lunenburg , the world famous Fundy Tides, and other major attractions, all within easy driving distance.
It's all about the ocean, the land...and the people!
Oceanstone's accommodations are set in a location of rare natural beauty on the glorious shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Whether
with family and friends, or business associates, our emphasis is on
reconnection with the natural world, and with each other. (see our "SOUL" page for more detail, click HERE for an area map, or HERE for Seven Days of Vacation Suggestions).
Charming Oceanfront Cottages:

We
built them in a traditional Nova Scotia style, and added the most
comfortable beds and furnishings we could find. Each cottage has its
own character, its own unique view:
each assures privacy. Each looks out over some of the most beautiful,
unspoiled scenes Nova Scotia has to offer, all set in the historic old
village of Indian Harbour.

Superb fine dining:
Rhubarb Grill and Cafe
is owned and operated by our son and chef, Paul who continues to
surprise even us with his fresh, original creations. (Nominated for
best in the province) For menus and seasonal specials, click HERE .

Relax. And rest easy...
For an unforgettable trip into the depths of relaxation, go one step
further while you relax by the ocean, and have a massage from one of
our certified masseuses. Call our front desk at 1-866-823-2160 for
details or make an appointment when you book.
And, of course, there is the
ocean...
Majestic, magic, ever changing. Intoxicatingly lovely, and revitalizing. There really is nothing quite like it. Click HERE to learn more about the charm of the ocean that washes the shores at our back door. Weddings, Conferences, and More!
Weddings: We provide a full wedding service
all in one magical, beautiful and enchanting setting. Our “chapel
by the sea," a natural open space on the shore, has been described by
many wedding parties as breathtaking and our oceanfront setting and
grounds offer the perfect backdrop for stunning wedding photos.

Conferences/Workshops: If you seek Nova Scotia conference facilities
or a place to hold a corporate team building meeting, Oceanstone is
ideal for small and medium sized groups (12-45 people). Our cottages
and conference room overlooking the ocean offer variety and
"electricity" to our meetings. We offer on-site dining, a variety of
meeting spaces, and a complete array of audio-visual aids and wireless
internet connection, all on 20 beautiful, natural acres on the ocean.
Quiet, comfortable, all-natural and stunningly beautiful… our award-winning
inn and oceanfront cottage rentals offer a uniquely Nova Scotian
vacation experience with beautiful, comfortable accommodation, replete
with old-world charm, wrapped in the mystery and the magic of the ocean.
Ahhh... the comfort of the Natural World...
Our
grounds are all natural and have been for 15 years. We use, wherever
possible, only natural ingrediants for cleaning, gardening, etc. And
there are no artificial sprays or perfumes: our air is fresh off the
Atlantic, thus helping to ensure a sound night’s sleep. Our gardens are completely organic,
and our chef Paul incorporates (seasonally) their fresh ingredients as
well as other local organic Nova Scotian products into his offerings.
From our gourmet dining room, to the spectacular surf, from cozy
fireplaces inside and out, and the great tableau of stars in the
coastal evening sky, Oceanstone provides a relaxed and uniquely Nova
Scotian escape from a world stuck in fast-forward.
